The WHAT and WHY of HEAL INITIATIVES.
Look around you.We live in a country in which nothing seems to work.  Everything  seems to be on the downward  spiral, the  health sector not withstanding. Primary health centres take deliveries with kerosene lanterns, doctors are consistently having strikes to no avail, their cries for change constantly falling on the deaf ears of a seemingly uncaring government, vaccine preventable diseases are still prevalent despite lots of money  poured into eradicating them, mortality rates are still as high as ever.
 We strongly believe it is not just the government's duty to bring about change; it's the duty of every Nigerian. Imagine a Nigeria in which everyone plays his part- you properly dispose of that "pure water" sachet after drinking instead of littering,  you obey that traffic light  whether or not a LASTMA official is present,you wait your turn on a queue... you do those little things that seem so unimportant. Imagine the world we would create! It is like the story of a little girl who was picking star fish that had been washed up the beach and throwing them back into the sea. A gentleman approached her and said," Your compassionate heart is really good but it won't make a difference, you will never be able to save them all". She replies by throwing in another starfish and says, "Well, it made a difference to that one!"

So  we  are not trying to save them all,  we just  want to play our parts in our own little way. HEAL initiatives is  doing just that-saving lives one after another  by taking health and healing to places where it is unavailable, unaffordable or inaccessible.

We to intend to be the foremost non - profit health service organisation of a healthy nation  where all persons reach their highest potential for health.
